Hello Dolly cookies

I remember my mom first making these when my oldest brother was in highschool and they have been one of my favorites ever since. The best thing about them is that they have that sweet & Salty taste that has become one of my biggest weaknesses. I believe this is the same or very close to the same as 7-layer bars.

Hello Dolly Cookies

1/2 c. melted butter
1 pkg graham crackers smashed
1 cup (or more) sweetened coconut
1 cup (or more)chocolate chips
1 can sweetened condensed milk

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees

In 9x13 pan, melt butter. Spread cookie crumbs evenly on top of melted butter to form a crust. Sprinkle on coconut evenly. Pour sweetened condensed milk evenly, then sprinkle chocolate chips on top of that.

**You can also put on butterscotch chips, nuts, etc.****

Bake for 15-20 minutes or until top is bubbly and starting to turn brown. Sides usually brown faster, so be careful not to let them burn but still cook the middle.

Enjoy with others or devour it all by yourself...like I do. :)

I hope it is okay to be checking out your family recipe blog! My cookies did not look ANYTHING like this! Oh well--I guess I'll just have to make them again. (can you tell it's just going to kill me!?!) Let me know when you perfect the tapioca salad.
